Background
How do you reward hardcore fans in an engaging way and stay true to New Zealand's premiere energy drink? You virtually throw people out of a plane and fire hundreds of prizes at them.
Working side by side with V’s agency Colenso BBDO we created V Prize Dive - a 3D skydiving game playable directly from a mobile browser.




Rapid Prototyping
Beginning with intensive prototyping we trialled, tweaked and refined the experience. Once we had a truly addictive game on our hands, the focus shifted to performance.






Lighten the Load
Striking a balance between beautiful visuals and speedy load times was key. By projecting the 3D models on to flat planes we created a seamless experience at a fraction of the size.

Mobile visitors spent an average of almost 4 minutes on the V Prize Dive site, huge for a casual gaming experience, while it also boasted a super low bounce rate of just over 9%.




Designed for a Good Time
Ensuring a seamless customer journey from can on the shelf to phone in the hand was critical.
We designed a beautifully simple and smoothly animated mobile site with in-built HUD controls, arcade sounds and prizes that drift in the wind around procedurally generated clouds.
We turned Colenso’s vision into reality through our technology-led design approach - all without anybody having to go the App Store. Nice.
