DJ software giants Serato partnered with leading electronic manufacturer, Roland, to produce a first of its kind, the DJ-808. Our mission was to both showcase the incredible craft and detail of the product, whilst inspiring the DJ enthusiast, aficionado and professional alike to sample this world first technology for themselves.
Making the complex simple
The DJ-808 is a sophisticated piece of technology and we quickly discovered that DJs are a naturally technical bunch. The challenge was to communicate its intricate set of features and integrations with an immersive interface that allowed users to explore the product at varying degrees of depth.
We made sure that they had access to every piece of information they needed to truly understand the revolutionary nature of the DJ-808. We presented specifications and integrations in a dynamic and tactile way so the DJ at home could feel like they were exploring the product in the flesh.
